ঝিনাইদহ জেলার শৈলকুপা থানার অন্তর্গত লাঙ্গলবাধে সংখ্যালঘুর বাড়ীতে হামলার ঘটনা ঘটেছে ০৪।০৫।২০ তারিখ রাত্র অনুমান ৮ ঘটিকায় । এ হামলায় একজন অন্তস্বত্তা হিন্দু মহিলাসহ ৮ জন নিরপরাধ হিন্দু আহত হয়েছেন , তারা এখনো শৈলকুপা হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন ।

এইমাত্র শৈলকুপা  থানার অফিসার ইন চার্জ বজলুর রহমান মাইনরিটি ওয়াচ কে  সুখবর দিয়েছেন " সকল আসামী আজ (০৬।০৫।২০) রাত ৮-৩০ মিনিটের সময় গ্রেফতার হয়েছে  । তারা এখন থানা হেফাজতে আছে । এই জন্য থানা কর্মকর্তাকে ধন্যবাদ । আমাদের ২ দিনের প্রচেষ্টা সফল হয়েছে ।

এতে ঐ এলাকায় চরম আতঙ্ক আর উত্তেজনা বিরাজ করছিল। বলে থানার অফিসার ইন চার্জ বজলুর রহমান ও তদন্তকারী কর্মকর্তা অমিত কুমার দাস বাংলাদেশ মাইনরিটি ওয়াচ কে জানিয়েছেন । 

উক্ত জেলার  জেলা প্রশাসক শ্রী সরোজ কুমার নাথকে (০১৭১৫২১৩০৪১) এই ঘটনা জিজ্ঞেশ করলে তিনি কিছুই জানেন না বলে  বাংলাদেশ মাইনরিটি ওয়াচ কে অবগত করেছেন , তবে তিনি খবর নিবেন বলে আমাদের আশান্বিত করেছেন । উপজেলার নির্বাহী অফিসার সাইফুল ইসলাম কে (০১৭৯৬১১০১৩০) জিজ্ঞাশা করলে তিনিও ঘটনা কিছুই জানেন না বলে জানিয়েছেন । সকলের উদাসীনতা  ঘটনা হয়তো একদিন ধুলোয় মিশে যাবে । 

এই ঘটনায় আসামীদের বিরুদ্ধে একটি মামলা করেছেন শ্রী সুজন সরকার থানায় । শৈলকুপা থানার মামলা নং ০৩ তারিখ ০৪।০৫।২০২০ ধারা ১৪৩/৪৪৭/৩২৩/৩২৪/৩২৫/৩০৭/৩৫৪/৪২৭ ঃ আসামিঃ ১) মোঃ রুবেল বিশ্বাস (৪০), ২) মোঃ মিটুল বিশ্বাস (২৫) ৩) মোঃ মজিদ বিশ্বাস (৩৩), ৪) মোঃ জিনারুল (৩২), ৫) মোঃ সুজন মিয়া (২৫), ৬) মোঃ পিরুশি (২৫) , ৭) মোঃ শহীদ (৪৫), ও আরো ৭-৮ জন। 

থানায়  দায়েরকৃত অভিযোগে জানা যায় শৈলকুপা ও শ্রীপুর উপজেলার কিছু অংশ নিয়ে লাঙ্গলবাধ বাজার অবস্থিত। গত সোমবার (০৪।০৫।২০২০) রাত ৮টার দিকে শ্রীপুর উপজেলার গয়েশপুর ইউনিয়নের আঃ হালিম চেয়ারম্যানের সমর্থক (আওয়ামী লীগ )

ছাবিনগর গ্রামের রুবেল,জিনারুল সহ নতুনভুক্ত মালিথিয়ার শিমুল, মজিদ মোল্লা ,পিউলি,হামজা,মিটুল,শহীদসহ ১২/১৪ জনের এক বাহিনী শৈলকুপা উপজেলার নতুনভুক্ত মালিথিয়ার মিস্ত্রি হিন্দু পাড়ার সুজন সরকারের বাড়িতে হামলা চালায় বলে এক সুত্রে জানা যায় ।

হামলার কারন জিজ্ঞাশা করলে বাদী সুজন সরকার আমাকে (BDMW)কে বলেন " এই অঞ্ছলে দুই আওয়ামী লীগের মধ্যে বিভেদ , আক্রমণকারী আঃ হালিমের সন্ত্রাসী বাহিনী আমাকে, আমার স্ত্রী সাথী সরকার (আহত) , মেনোকো সরকার, বিজলী সরকার, মনিমোহন দিপক সহ ৮জন কে পিটিয়ে আহত করে,  সন্ত্রাসীরা ১লাখ ৬০ হাজার টাকা ও স্বর্ণলঙ্কার লুট করে নেয় । এরা আমার মোটর সাইকেল ভাংচুর সহ  ব্যাপক ক্ষতিসাধন করে , লুটপাট চালায় ।  তিনি কান্না বিজড়িত কন্ঠে  আরো বলেন, এই সন্ত্রাসী বাহিনী ধারাবাহিক ভাবে বিভিন্ন ধরণের হামলা চালিয়ে আমাদের ভারতে যেতে বাধ্য করছে। রুবেল গ্যাং নিয়ে হিন্দুদের জমি, ঘর বাড়ি, সম্পত্তি দখল করার পরিকল্পনা করছে তারা  আপনারা আমাদের রক্ষা করুন " করোনা লক ডাউন চলতি থাকার সুযোগে হামলাকারিরা এই অপকর্মের সৎ ব্যবহার করেছে "

সোমবার রাতে হামলার পর মঙ্গলবার সকালেও লাঙ্গলবাধ বাজারে মহড়া দিয়েছে ঐ বাহিনীর লোকজন। যেকোন সময় আবারো হামলার ঘটনা ঘটতে পা্রে বলে স্থানীয়রা আশংকা প্রকাশ করছে । তবে বি ,ডি ,এম ,  ডাবলুর হস্তক্ষেপের কারনে আশংকা কিছুটা ঘনীভূত হয়েছে।

থানার অফিসার ইন চার্জ বজলুর রহমান ও তদন্তকারী কর্মকর্তা অমিত কুমার দাস বাংলাদেশ মাইনরিটি ওয়াচের সঙ্গে প্রতিনিয়ত কথা হচ্ছে মোবাইলের মাধ্যমে । তারা বলেন " আসামীদের গ্রেফতার করা হবে । অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার মোঃ নিলু মিয়া বিস্বাসের সঙ্গে আমার কথা হয় ( ০১৭১৩৩৭৪১৮৭) । তিনি বলেছেন " এই ঘটনা কোন সাম্প্রদায়িক ঘটনা নয়, কিন্তু এই জেলায় ভীষণ মারামারি হয় সামান্য বিষয় নিয়া হত্যাকান্ড ঘটে "   মোঃ হাসানুজামান (পুলিশ সুপার)  BDMW কে বলেছেন " আসামীদের গ্রেফতারের প্রচেষ্টা চলছে " এলাকায় পুলিশ মোতায়েন করা হয়েছে বলে তিনি জানান।

এদিকে শৈলকুপার ধলহরাচন্দ্র ইউনিয়নের চেয়ারম্যান মতিয়ার রহমান (আওয়ামী লীগ) জানান, পাশ্ববর্তী উপজেলার গয়েশপুর ইউনিয়নের চেয়ারম্যান আব্দুল হালিম (০১৭১১১৩৫৩৬৭) ও তাদের সন্ত্রাসী বাহিনী এর আগেও সংখ্যালঘু সহ বিভিন্ন পরিবারের উপর হামলা চালিয়েছে বলে প্রকাশ। জমাজমি, ব্যবসা প্রতিষ্ঠান জবরদখল করেছে । কিন্তু গয়েশপুর উনিয়নের চেয়ারমান (  আওয়ামী লীগ) আব্দুল হালিম (০১৭১১১৩৫৩৬৭) কে জিজ্ঞাশাবাদ করলে তিনি বলেন চেয়ারমান মতিউর রহামানের বাহিনী এই হামলা করেছে । দুই আওয়ামী চেয়ারম্যান একে অপরকে ধোষারোপ করছেন ।

বাংলাদেশ মাইনরিটি ওয়াচ এই দুঃভাগ্যজনক ঘটনার তীব্র নিন্দা ও দুঃখ প্রকাশ করেছেন । অনতিবিলম্বে হামলাকারীদের আইনানুগভাবে তাদের বিচারের সম্মুখীন করে শাস্তির ব্যবস্তার দাবী জানাচ্ছে । ১৮ ডিসেম্বর ১৯৯২ এর সাধারণ পরিষদের রেজুলেশন নং 47/135 দ্বারা গৃহীত প্রস্তাব হল ১.রাষ্ট্রগুলো তাদের নিজ অঞ্চলে সংখ্যালঘুদের জাতীয় বা জাতিগত, সাংস্কৃতিক, ধর্মীয় এবং ভাষাগত পরিচয় রক্ষা করবে এবং সেই পরিচয়ের প্রচারের জন্য শর্তকে উৎসাহিত করবে ।

The attack took place at a minority house in Langalbad under Shailkupa police station in Jhenaidah district of Bangladesh.  There prevailing extreme panic and tension in the area. Police Officer-in-Charge Bazlur Rahman and Investigating Officer Amit Kumar Das told Bangladesh Minority Watch that six people, including a pregnant Hindu woman, were injured in the Sailakupa Hospital for treatment.

Bazlur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of the police station, has just given the good news to Minority Watch that all the perpetrators have been arrested tonight at about 8.30 p.m. and they have been kept in the custody of the Police at Sailakukpa police station of Jhenaidah district. BDMW thanked O.C. for his quick endeavor for apprehending those attackers . 

When the Deputy Commissioner of the district, Shri Saroj Kumar Nath (01715213041) was asked about the incident, he informed Bangladesh Minority Watch that he did not know anything, but he hoped that he would take the news. When asked about the Upazila Executive Officer Saiful Islam (01796110130), he also said that he did not know anything about the incident. Everyone's indifference may one day be reduced to dust.

Sujan Sarkar, being complainant has filed a case against the accused in this incident. Shailkupa Police Station Case No. 03 dated 04.05.2020 Section 143/447/323/324/325/307/354/427 against  Accused: 1) Md. Rubel Biswas (40), 2) Md. Mitul Biswas (25) 3) Md. Majid Biswas (33), 4) Md. Jinarul (32), 5) Md. Sujan Mia (25), 6) Md. Pirushi (25), 6) Md. Shahid (45), and 6-7 others. So far no accused has been arrested.

According to the first information report (FIR) filed with the police station, Langalbadh Bazar is located in Shailkupa and some parts of Sreepur upazila. Supporter of A.H Halim Chairman of Gayeshpur Union of Sreepur Upazila (Awami League) last Monday (04.05.2020) at 8 pm. A group of 12/14 people including Rubel, Jinarul, Shimul, Majid Mollah, Puli, Hamza, Mitul and Shahid of Chabinagar village attacked the house of Sujan Sarkar, a newly registered Malithiar Mistri Hindu Para in Shailkupa upazila of Jhenaidaha District.

When asked about the reason for the attack, complainant  Sujan Sarkar told me (BDMW) "There is a rift between the two Awami Leagues in this area. The terrorists looted 1 lakh 60 thousand Takas and gold ornaments. They vandalized motorcycle and caused a lot of damage. They cried and said  "These terrorist forces are continuously forcing us to go to India by carrying out various attacks" The Rubel gang is planning to occupy the lands, houses and properties of the Hindus. They are intimidating us," he said. "The attackers are very much communal and committing misdeed." 

After the attack on Monday night, the attackers of that force also practiced terrorism in Langalbadh market on Tuesday morning. Locals fear the attack could happen again at any time .

Police Officer-in-Charge Bazlur Rahman and Investigating Officer Amit Kumar Das are talking to Bangladesh Minority Watch on mobile. They said, "The accused will be arrested. I spoke to Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Nilu Mia Biswas (0171337418). He said," This incident is not a communal incident, but there is a lot of fighting in this district informed BDMW.  Md.Hasanuzzaman S.P. said that "efforts are underway to arrest the accused" Police have been deployed in the area.

Meanwhile, Shailkupar Dhalharachandra Union Chairman Matiar Rahman (Awami League) said Abdul Halim, chairman of Gayeshpur Union in the adjoining upazila, and their terrorist forces had earlier attacked various families, including minorities. Land, business establishments have been seized.

Bangladesh Minority Watch strongly condemns and regrets this unfortunate incident. They are demanding immediate arrest of the attackers and bringing them to justice. The Resolution Adopted by General Assembly resolution 47/135 of 18 December 1992. 1. States shall protect the existence and the national or ethnic, cultural, religious and linguistic identity of minorities within their respective territories and shall encourage conditions for the promotion & protection of that identity.
